In all, 16,718 new vehicles were registered in May. First registrations increased by 6 per cent from the corresponding month of the previous year.

- In the January to May period of 2023 a total of 37,711 passenger cars were first registered, which was 4 per cent more than one year earlier.
- Of first-time registered passenger cars in May 2023, 35 per cent were electric. The number of their registrations was 3,275, more than tripled from the corresponding month of the previous year.
- Used imported passenger numbered 3,037, which was 26 per cent fewer than one year earlier.
